Shopping Diary: Citypharma
I've found that living in a busy city where pollution is unfortunately inevitable, really takes its toll on my skin and hair. Seeing as though the French do skin care and beauty products so well, it seems only natural that I should take full advantage of said products. Ever the excuse to go shopping, when I need to buy anything skin care related, I find myself making a trip to Citypharma.
Located by Mabillon on Rue du Four, this pharmacy stands out as it is notably cheaper than the rest. And so, even though there is a pharmacy on almost every street you come by in Paris, it is definitely worth choosing this one. The cheap prices and huge range of different (and almost exclusively French) skincare brands attract beauty hoarders, bloggers and make up artists from all over the world. Meaning, this pharmacy is usually, overwhelmingly busy and jam packed full of women trying to locate the products on their already prepared lists.
Claustrophobic aisles and other customers aside, my favourite products so far, include:
- Nuxe rêve de miel lip balm
- La Roche-Posay Effaclar H purifying foaming gel cleanser
- La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo(+) anti-imperfections serum
- Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse multi-purpose dry face, body, hair oil
- Avène Gommage doux purifiant peaux - gentle purifying scrub
- Klorane reflets blonde shampoo and conditioner
- Caudalíe crème gourmande mains et ongles- hand and nail cream
- Caudalíe Eau de beauté - beauty elixir
